Q: When acne clients won't get treatments as often as they should, what do I do?

A: It's important to do what you can, whenever you can. As estheticians, our role is to assist people rather than exert control over them. Even sporadic acne treatments are better than none at all. If your client is content with your service, then you have performed well. Consider this: if you don't have dental cleanings as frequently as your dentist recommends, will they turn you away? Similarly, if you skip your annual physical as advised by your doctor, will they refuse to see you? And if you don't adhere to the mechanic's recommended oil change schedule for your car, will they decline to service it? Certainly not. We are all professionals, and each appointment contributes to our success, regardless of whether the client follows our recommendations. Customers won't hold us responsible for their actions, and we shouldn't reprimand them for being themselves. There's no need to complicate your career unnecessarily. Show appreciation to your customers no matter how often they visit!
